POSTPONED....

The Hong Kong Sailing Federation in conjunction with the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club regretfully announces that Hong Kong Race Week 2021 has been postponed.

Following the announcement by the Hong Kong SAR Government that current Covid-19 restrictions will remain in place for another two weeks and are likely to continue through to the Lunar New Year Holidays, the regatta’s organising committee have met today and made the decision to postpone this year's edition of the regatta, in the interest of public safety.

Chairman Peter Davies said that “on advice from the Hong Kong SAR Government, we are unable to proceed with the event on the current scheduled dates. This comes as a massive blow, being the second consecutive year that the event has succumbed to the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Nevertheless, ensuring the health and welfare of our competitors, volunteers, and staff at the event is our number one priority. We all want to go sailing, and will do our very best to react swiftly once it is clear that outdoor sports are able to open up again.”

HKRW would like to thank all our competitors and volunteers for their continued commitment to the event.

Contingency planning is currently underway to reschedule the event to a date in March 2021, with details to be announced in the coming days. We thank you for your patience until this time.

In the meanwhile, the online entry system will remain open.
